Haven’t seen any thunderstorms or hail yet. First they extended the warning to 12:30am, then 1:00am, then 1:15, now 1:45. Apparently the storm is moving slower than they thought! On the map it does look very close.

My goodness, it’s like watching a suspenseful movie. The poor elephant will need some time to recover from the ordeal.

Thanks for checking in on me. Freyja, I wasn‘t on social media because I watch continuous weather reports on my iPad. It’s drama every minute with this weather, so I don’t break away from it. I don’t have cable or antenna tv at the moment—one of my cost saving measures.

Hi, Freyja & Breneke! Everything is fine here. The storms skirted around each side of my town. There were tornadoes, but none close by. We’re still under thunderstorm watch w/ large hail, supposed to arrive in the next 30 min. or so. So once again, if I disappear, I’ve lost electricity or internet.😄

I can believe it, Freyja! You had such a great second guess, then fell into the one missing letter conundrum. You finally got it! 👍🏼

Poor Mum!

I’ve lived in Tornado Alley all my life. This cartoon is the exact way we used to treat them—very casually. But with climate change we’ve had serious, deadly, huge tornadoes quite nearby & very capricious in storm paths & timing. So most people, including me, are cautious & prepare early now.

It was tough today! So many choices = so many chances to make a mistake.
