The day was wild and very personal for me. My daughter and my wife’s daughter both participated in the protests. My daughter was there when a man revealed a weapon and scared the hell out of the kids.

I’ve covered a lot of protests in Las Cruces over more than 25 years. When I heard on Thursday that students from Centennial High School had marched all the way to Las Cruces High, picked up students there, and were heading to Mayfield, I knew something historic was happening. /1
