I could throw in some ironic, humorous comment here, but that would be way too easy, so I won’t.

What will they think when their children and grandchildren end up in a Russian 're-education' concentration camp? My guess is they will still remain Putinists and pro-Russian.

This is important to understand. The whole Russian society bears some responsibility, not actively, but by allowing this to happen. No uprising, no mass protests; mostly just waiting, drinking vodka, and hoping for better days.

This is humor — but sadly also reality. Ordinary Russians do understand what’s going on, but the regime’s grip is too strong. Eventually the pressure will build through rising taxes, fuel shortages, price hikes… and so on.

It’s easy to believe the survivors. It’s much harder to trust those who keep hiding this information, especially when there’s reason to think well-known names are involved. Donald… and so on... he is not alone!

Ukraine will not lose this war. It may not win it militarily. The war will end when Russia's leadership and people tire of Putin's regime and someone succeeds in offering him a special cup of tea. The war is disrupting too many oligarchic businesses.

Somehow it feels like there’s an amazing flavor hiding beneath that rustic exterior.

Here’s another thing I don’t get about the world. If I were filthy rich, I’d buy fancy cars and take luxury vacations in the sun. The last thing on my mind would be making more money—especially from people who are starving.

From a European perspective, it’s hard to understand Trump’s election and the unwavering loyalty of his supporters. He’s done everything possible to destroy America’s international reputation, and it’ll take decades to rebuild it.

This is a good thing. Europe seriously needs to break free from U.S. military tech and develop its own, ready for Russia’s constant threat. That threat won’t vanish, even if the regime changes. In Finland, we understand this, we have strong defense forces.

Soldiers have to do as they’re told, nothing they can do about it. Though their lives are hell before Ukraine’s army takes them out.

Before the orc invasion of Ukraine, I knew little about the country. I’ve since read books on its history and if I thought Russia was a tough neighbor for Finland, we’ve had a summer picnic compared to Ukraine. I’m very grateful for your posts that deepen my understanding of Ukrainian culture.

That’s how propaganda works — promise and offer something that looks good on the surface. But think a bit deeper, and you see the trap. Most people just don’t know or bother to look that far.

Great, now I don’t have to wonder what I’ll have nightmares about tonight.

In Russia, they’d probably call this terrorism. What could be more terrifying than happiness and hugs, huh!

Ukraine is currently fighting with all its might against autocracy and outright fascism. If Russia wins, very dark times will fall over Europe. Central and Southern Europe may not fully realize that yet.

Reading this feels like diving into a gray mush of brains, swimming around trying to find anything sensible, eating a carrot, and getting rich by praising the greatest leader.

What’s so hard about this? People have different religions, opinions, even appearances. We’re still the same—feelings, hopes, desires. Where the hell does this racism still come from? I am angry.

This picture gave me an idea. If (or when) I travel abroad again, I’d love to take a vintage train trip — Oriental Express style, with a dinner menu and white tablecloths and all.

Looks like a mass hallucination is happening in more than one country right now. Humanism and compassion are losing their value.

That might be a look of love — or maybe it says, “I haven’t had a treat in an hour, is it time yet?” Either way, that look makes me want a dog even more❤️
