Republicans Push FBI To Designate Trans Advocacy As Violent Extremism. Inside The Project 2025 Organization's Proposal. On Thursday evening, news emerged that individuals within and outside of Trump administration were pushing to cast trans activists as domestic terrorists. Then, Project 2025 dropped its proposal.

1. Republicans are attempting to get the FBI to label trans advocacy as domestic terrorism.

Project 2025's parent org is pushing it.

It would not label all trans people as terrorists, but it would open the door for heavy surveillance and disruption.

Its almost time for Dartmouth Comic Arts Festival! This weekend! Hop on that ferry from Halifax and see some awesome presentations, panels, artists, and so many comics!

A spread of tiny envelopes and tiny drawings. The envelopes have "Art Trading Card" stamped on the back. The drawings are all unique, mostly black and white sketches but some colour.

A few spreads of the handmade trading cards. There's a few different series, such as 5 golden breakfast illustrations, 5 warrior illustrations, and some constellations.

Finished up an edition of 50 tiny trading cards for Dartmouth Comic Arts Festival. Each one comes with a little original drawing and digital print. These were fun to make and I hope folks will enjoy them!

I've been lucky to have gotten out of Halifax a bit this summer. Roaming around Nova Scotia, we checked out some lovingly curated and organized antique shops - makes for good reference photos.

19 homes were built in Halifax for every 100 new arrivals in the last four years: StatCan Modular homes gaining traction in Nova Scotia where the average new single-detached homes are going for over $700k in Halifax

Statistics Canada shows 48,023 people moved to Halifax between 2021-24.

In the same time period 9,133 new housing units were completed.

'Greatest honour of my career': Cape Breton musician named Sable Island artist-in-residence - Halifax Examiner Fiddler, singer, songwriter Rose Morrison will head to remote island off Nova Scotia's coast for two weeks in October.

ICYMI: I interviewed fiddler, singer, songwriter Rose Morrison who was chosen as the first artist-in-residence for the #SableIsland Institute. She will spend two weeks on the island in October, and plans on writing an album about the experience.

Today was a bad work day. I have portraits that I've been struggling to get right, one which I'll probably have to restart. I've got a comic here untouched for months. I've got deadlines that I am up against, and a pile of invoices to handle.

But I could do this. I needed an art win today.
