Lol lmao other way around actually. Marathon is like 30 years old, sekiguchi is for the new game, but the old games were what inspired guardians and exos in the first place. Shells are different from exos in that a human consciousness isn't limited to just one body.

1: you can infil solo queue if you want, but it is a lot sweatier and the game is not designed around solo in mind so the solo experience is a lot tougher

2: game functions perfectly as a pvpve, wouldn't have it any other way. It just works with the vision.

It's the mega corporation in the Marathon universe that weaves the shells runners use when doing their jobs. Basically genetically modified silkworms weave bodies for a consciousness to inhabit.

This game makes my inner dormant poet go insane. Yes, i have to do some pvp to become immersed in this world. Yes, i have to flee or shoot. Yes, it's terrifying. No, it's not tilting. It's freeing. I'll die and return. It cannot stop me. My relentless steps forward will bring me greatness.

Yeah it's a shooter where other players might shoot you, but also it's commentary on how we don't own our bodies or minds, how corporations don't see you as people when you work contract, how you can potentially escape your own body, transformative experiences, ai revolution, life and death cycles

This project is completely passion based and something I'm doing for myself and Jack's owners, so it's been slow going. Here is another piece I did, a few years back. He was a very goofy, happy, fun boy. His owner is over on insta at jack_theborzoi

For those wondering, Jack (Starswift Unfinished Business) was a borzoi who was born with a liver shunt (an in utero deformity). He was scheduled for surgery to fix it, but in recovery, it caused a massive clot, which ended his life. This book is everything he was going to do. A celebration of life.
