Not only was Until Dawn not really an adaptation beyond 2-3 nods to the video game, but it was also just kinda bad...?

Maybe they felt those two things canceled each other out?

Twisted Metal has been consistently fun, if at times uneven.

Until Dawn getting a nomination is genuinely hilarious.

I think one of the reasons I'd be down for expanding the field is you lose a bit of genre diversity when you have two games like Hades II and Silksong - both individually unquestionably worthy nominees that arguably occupy similar space - in the same cycle.

There are enough great games to go to 10.

You could legitimately make a GOTY-level field of games that didn't get nominated for Game of the Year, so it's been a pretty good year for games!

(They should probably increase the field size.)
