Why do people think Israel will stop just because Trump declares things over? Why would Israel stop now? Why would Iran stop their “revenge” campaign even if the US relented.

I think people misread all of this. TACO is the only hope and it would need to be a capitulation. That’s the most likely scenario to a best case outcome.
