the general memory of this incident among my colleagues is being grateful for the cookies and also being slightly baffled that this man appears to have gone out of his way to buy cookies for everyone *except* his own daughter, a move of unmatched psychological warfare

the part I enjoy most about this is that at no point did he text me like a normal person to say: 'Popped by your work to see you today but I missed you! Didn't know you were on leave' but instead just did not mention this incident at all, so I just found out in passing from a colleague 3 weeks later

discovered today that while I was on leave, my dad apparently dropped into my workplace and dropped off some cookies for everyone, which I must say is quite the power move on his part
