I had a dream I met the Secretary of Defense in Tombstone. He was drunk & outing sensitive info to random women until he confessed he was in love with me. This was irritating to me so I berated him for being a careless child. He then passed out and left his hotel doors open.

I’m putting the brakes on political & technocratic discourse for a bit because I honestly think my life depends on it. I need to spend time creating & doing what I love again. But I haven’t left you behind. If you’re hurting, I’m here. Watching & listening. I just need to go stoke a different fire.

Every party, every branch of our government has let the American people down. We now, & perhaps for some time, live in an oligarchical machine intended to keep us stupid, silent and working for the 1%. Black and trans communities have been warning us and many didn’t listen. So here we are.

I always imagined a big celebration with friends & family when this movie released. Instead, I’m eating a quesadilla alone at 1am and searching for it on every streaming site just to stare at the words for a bit and move on. Just as happy and proud of the hard work it took to get here, either way.
