Oh wow. My locals were $40 and $45 between the two big stores in the area. The 2HG I signed up for with Arjun was $40. $40 seemed reasonable for six packs plus prize support. $50 not so much.

Arjun and I built decks from our pre-release kits and just played each other. UG Mutagen is a ton of fun, and I really love how well mutagen plays into all the other archetypes.

I had a feeling that film would be a hot mess when they fired Melissa Barrera for speaking up for palestine, ditched her whole plot, and instead decided to do Scream 4's plot again.

Yeah, this is unfair to anyone who wants to engage with being critical beyond “slop”

As a logistician this is my big one: it does not seem like the production pipeline was ready for two premiere sets barely a month apart

This is the kind of thing that’s happened to a lot of fandoms, especially Star Wars, and a lot of other fandoms that just make them a toxic morass that I don’t want to engage with.

I called this out last year with the positive overreaction to Fleem, and it’s probably only going to get worse this year.

It’s incredibly clear that a lot of ‘content’ had their narrative about this set lined up already and the quality of the product was going to be irrelevant.

Every single TMNT video I’ve done have had to delete shitty comments that have nothing to do with what I’m talking about. That didn’t even happen with the Spider-Man set.

I think legitimate criticisms of the set, of UB, and the handling of the release schedule this year are getting lost in a sea of toxic fandom overcorrection.

The only thing it feels worthwhile for me to say right now is pay attention to whether your feelings & the information you’re absorbing are paralyzing you or prompting you to meaningful action, whatever that is. Paralysis helps no one but the enemy.

I've finally finished Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, and it's a lot of fun. Just the right amount of action without turning Indy into a gunslinger, and great puzzles and exploration.
