Boston, we canβt afford to have Commonwealth Builder lose funding at the state level! I sent a letter to Gov Healey and now Iβm asking you to act, too.
Nearly 1,000 affordable homeownership units in Bostonβs pipeline are at risk if the Commonwealth Builder program isnβt funded.
Small businesses are the backbone of our local economy and the lifeblood of our neighborhoods. I hope as a City we will do all we can to ensure our city continues to invest in all the services that help our entrepreneurs and small business thrive. 2/2
08.03.2025 00:29 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's disappointing to see the federal government and this Republican administration turn its back on small businesses, but I'm not surprised when our federal government is controlled by the wealthiest man in the world. 1/2
08.03.2025 00:29 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm thrilled to see the Council flex its support for housing with a unanimous vote. Itβs time to get shovels back in the ground for Boston.

This initiative expands homeownership opportunities, supports BHA mixed-income developments, and leverages state partnershipsβall aimed at building generational wealth and strengthening our neighborhoods. #HousingForAll

From driveway accessibility to homeownership vouchers and expanding youth programs β my office is championing these key pieces of legislation to build a more equitable, inclusive, and thriving Boston! See the thread for all of our work.
I sponsored a Council resolution in April that supports laws like these. Side-running bus lanes are an important piece of our transit future - providing speedier access to all.
27.12.2024 18:48 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Happy to see the Legislature advancing multiple bills to improve road safety. The first is camera-mounted school buses to help our students stay safe, and the second is camera-enforced bus lanes that will make side-running bus lanes more effective.
27.12.2024 16:34 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1This recognition is about the incredible coalition of changemakers who worked tirelessly to bring historic legislation to life. Together, we created 225 new liquor licenses to help communities in Mattapan, Dorchester, Roxbury, and beyondβbringing economic opportunities where they are needed most.
12.12.2024 22:02 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm honored to be named one of The Boston Globe's Bostonians of the Year!
Thank you to @bostonglobe.com for highlighting this transformative work as well as the work of my brother, Rep. Chris Worrell, and the work of Royal Smith, Nick Korn, and State Sen. Liz Miranda, who pushed at every step.
Weβre looking to ensure our policies and laws donβt have unintended consequences based upon race, etc. And weβre trying to unlock the billions of extra economic dollars for the state if we close the achievement gap for all. That includes education, but also the Boston Residents Job Policy.
01.12.2024 14:01 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've pushed for a holistic approach to cultivate heathy communities in Boston. The latest move to make Violence Prevention a standalone office is something I advocated for during the past few years. I'm thrilled to see it come to fruition. Kudos to the Boston Public Health Commission for this move.
