Not necessarily long term and it's not like we would try to go out of Europe but Premier League would have to be the priority until we were able to consistently qualify for some form of Europe

Apart from PSG, I don't really think we have performed exceptionally in Europe. Union, Qarabag, PSV, Bilbao and Benfica were all games you would expect us to win on paper.

Would argue that Leverkusen and Marseille are too and that we failed in them.

💯 agree. Would get us in shape to be playing 2 games a week if we get decent cup runs going as well

Historically teams in Europe would have just played the reserves in the league cup and we've been nowhere near doing that

Not just that though. Not giving youth a chance at times when games have been out of sight, not recalling Targett so Hall has to play pretty much every minute etc has run some players into the ground

This needs to be directed everywhere as well. Boardroom, fans, players, coaching staff have all been way off it this season

Other youth players are available. Hopefully will start to see a couple of them push on and be in contention next year.

If we don't get into Europe next year, investment has to focus on improving the first eleven rather than building squad depth for me.

4/5 were misses in that last window and the one who wasn't came from abroad after extensive long term scouting and interest. If we never sign another play from the Prem I will be happy

Probably not, but we haven't managed the squad well at all and we've wasted fortunes on players that don't contribute. It's not like we couldn't have done better with the resources we have.

That goes back to poor recruitment and squad management as well. Qarabag at home was an excellent opportunity to give players a rest but ended up starting players who've played pretty much every minute

This can't become a 2 year cycle then in that case.

Also I don't think that it's a given that we have a great season next year just because we aren't in Europe. Solely dependent on what happens this summer window for me

Season of could have beens, I know I should be excited for Barcelona but know what's going to happen so just waiting for the Summer window now

Absolutely, I really want him to be the one and to build a dynasty for the next 20 years but there needs to be a conversation about where he is going wrong so the club can come together to try and fix it

Got to be Ramsey, Joelinton and Tonali CM. I'd go Gordon, Barnes and Elanga as the front 3

I'm not even Howe out but the portion of our fanbase who refuse to acknowledge any criticism of Howe, the owners or players at this stage of an omnishambles of a season are bordering on cult-like

The fact that we were compliant last season, increased revenue but didn't increase wages is enough to do that though.

I'd take a 10m loss on all 3 in the summer. None have shown enough to make me think that they will come good

Don't think we should have thrown our hands up at half time with the tie at 1-1 and with the potential to be 3.5 games away from a trophy and European football next year
