Sometimes, the best friend/teacher/parent we can be is to allow the feeling to happen and just be there. We’ve earned our feelings and need to not allow toxic positivity to negate this authenticity.

I feel the same as Phoebe some days. Tired defending comics as literature and β€œreal” reading to some naysayers. Nuh-uh will have to suffer for today! I love the Phoebe and Her Unicorn series!

Imagination and real-life intertwined = magic. vital issues of anxiety, depression, grief, friendship, finding ones self. That grief comes in many forms and there is help for us all. positive approach to therapy. Overthinking everything. Perfectionist. A student just trying to not let anyone down.

Powerful. I love that the publisher put the teacher guide I created in the book and advertises it on the back. Some teachers can hesitate to use a graphic novel in class, not fully understanding the medium and its literary power.I wish more publishers would do the same. @abramscomicarts.bsky.social
