We've had: 1) TE acting as gene switches, 2) CELLO-seq, 3) circular DNA and structural variations, 4) KRAB zinc finger proteins and pancreatic development, 5) epigenetics and KRABs in mice, and 6) pack-CACTA

And with that the afternoon of @gensocuk.bsky.social short talks is done! We've had: 1) KRABs binding L2/MIR elements, which would effect cardiovascular development; 2) DGCR8 prevents the accumulation of TE-made double-stranded RNA; 1/3 🧵

We start our afternoon session with Didier Trono talking about transposable elements, their polydactyl domesticators and the species-specificity of human biology #GSTransposons
