Do you only need to look at the speedo when your are doing 20 mph or does that happen at other speeds? Perhaps you shoukdnt be driving. Lives saved, injuries down but you had to slow down a couple of times in villages outside schools. I don't think you've been to Wales at all.

Interesting that Wales only has BBC Wales and BBC Cymru (and one I've never heard of), yet whenever I'm driving through England (to Exeter frequently at the moment) I pick up BBC's Bristol, Somerset and Devon. Wikipaedia tells me nearly nearly every county in England has its own station.

As a Welshman, I'm more than well aware of that from my hitch hiking days around Europe in the 80's. However the UK is not a fictional entity any more than France or Spain (Bretons, Basques, Catalonians etc). All larger countries bully and or conquer their smaller neighbours. Ask the Ukrainians.

Sorry, but in what way is the UK a fiction? I have a passport that says UK on it, every time I look at comparisons between countries (unless the stats are broken down into Eng, Wales, Scotland and NI, which is rare) it is UK.

But it's a UK Govt. who largely run the UK.
