Insanely cool boss fights conceptually but I remember googling how to beat all of them as a kid because my 10 year old dumb ass hadn’t a clue
Unfortunately I didn’t fare much better in adulthood when I replayed it last year 💀
they’re so silly looking (I love them)

The Silent Hill 1 hospital elevator suddenly getting a 4th floor button is already creepy, but I love that it also ties into the east Asian belief that the number 4 is associated with death (both 4 四 and death 死 are pronounced "shi")
It's one of my favourite scares in the series for this reason
This video was so wonderful. I loved the language you used to break down the controls (“shooting bullets through the fourth wall”!!!!! So good!!!), the IRL shots interspersed throughout were awesome (as usual!) and the post-credits easter eggs made me laugh out loud!
Another certified Pim classic 💯

This week I’ve translated the short documentary Ise-Shima, the 1949 directorial debut from the man behind Godzilla, Ishiro Honda!
Enjoy the start of one of the most famous names in movies, the first instance of underwater filming in Japan, and lots of post-war anxieties!

Wow, Iron Lung rocked! Body horror meets Lovecraft, which is a match made in heaven for me. A slow-burn descent into madness building up to one of the most claustrophobic, gnarly ending sequences I've seen in a while.
Great stuff! 🩸
Pathetic and embarrassing doesn’t even begin to describe this behaviour. These kinds of people can never be reasoned with.
