From Redcoat issue 2. The Gilded Age ball in Benedict Arnold's mansion in NYC. As much as it may look like it, panel 2 was not the hardest or most time consuming part of this, panel 1 was. Took a long time to work out those horse and carriages!

One has a very odd sense of ones' own work. Everyone else's seems to look like proper comics and have instantly recognisable styles but whilst I do feel pretty sure I'm good at what I do, it never feels like it's REAL comics like the art that influenced me and it certainly never looks recognisable.

I had to go in and have a look. Yeah. It's a collection of the run. I finished it off so I guess D.C. must have sent it! Forgot it was even there. Should be on the shelf of my collections!

starting work next week on Redcoat issue 15, the start of the 1909 arc (six issues or so). This one is going to be a real challenge but one we've been working towards since issue 1.

Fantastic Four wins the summer as far as I'm concerned. Absolutely loved it.

One of my sons is a qualified mixologist (wants bar work at uni). And he's damn good. Tonight, a vesper martini. (I had to fully stock the bar for him but achieved peak parenting I feel).

I also do just fine so I'm not looking for anyone's sympathy but I did once comment that in Av:Endgame, many of those thanked were retired or unwell and they could have been give a million each without it ever touching the first afternoon's box. I don't think the game is rigged but it's not fair.

It's the state of the game Gail. It's what WfH is. We used to get reprint fees, stuff like that years ago. That 'universal rights in perpetuity' was fine enough in print but it isn't fit for purpose in a multi billion multi media landscape. But it is what we signed and I don't say this to complain

I have been thanked in many, many Marvel movies and now Superman. Haven't seen a single cent from any display of gratitude yet.

the 31 page RC 13 hits stores today. Wraps up the Northerner storyline (well, introduction).

Redcoat 14 is 31 pages which I've pencilled in about 18 working days (don't work weekends). No late nights either. Pretty pleased with that. One of my favourite issues too.

Binged Picard while drawing the last few days and whilst seasons 1 and 2 held up a bit better in full rather than weekly than I remembered and all three work well as a whole, Season three is a tour de force and some of the best Trek ever made. Simply brilliant.

I have a barista machine on my desk. My productivity increased. A wine fridge, cocktail waiter and chef should sort out the rest nicely.

Thanks Adult versions, aged with Superman so their days as Superbly and the Legion were in both their pasts. I could have done a series about them with Mark. Legion was on my bucket list

Redcoat 13 and 14 both clocked in at 31 pages. so combined slightly more than three issues of a Marvel or DC book. Still $3.99 with great quality paper and heavy stock covers.
