My dog's nemesis, Timmy, is a poodle who lives next door part time & on a cattle ranch part time. The ranch dogs have been bullying him, so he's more reactive now. Today, he charged my dog & nicked him in the eyelid. I'm sad for both dogs. Both deserve to feel safe.

I read this a couple of weeks ago, and it has been powerful during the High Holy Days, where we focused on navigating difficult relationships. For me, the new year is about balancing vulnerability and boundaries.
