My first hard realization that I was not cut out for medicine was the first time I shadowed a doctor and saw them see patients one after the other, boom boom boom, a few minutes per and then on to the next room. It's why Theo makes house calls, rather than run a clinic - it's what makes Theo fantasy

I love how Temenha is determined to be the Exception TM and yet is oblivious to the ways Avenrhi makes exceptions for her, the things she takes for granted and the things she has normalized due to romantic inexperience. And yet and yet and yet... despite all, love remains an uncomplicated thing
