Agnetha Fältskog from ABBA had a fear of flying, and then while on tour was in a plane short of fuel which hit a tornado and had to make an emergency landing. She'd later travel by bus while touring, but then had a 1983 bus accident. How can this not seem like a personal attack by the travel gods?

BTW, I speak not only as a Gen X music collector but with a Gen Z teenager at home who has caught the bug for CDs...

People forget the treasure thing. People love to collect things and the thrill of the hunt of trying to find a much-discussed but rarely-seen album is so much more exciting than click-click, there it is.

There was nobody better

On the plus side for a certain age kid (like mine), those who had peak COVID coinciding with middle school had all of the awkwardness over Zoom and then in person wearing masks plus face shields. The annoyance at the challenges replaced the normal middle school petty drama, prob for the better.

Would the term be "bedsplaining" when one's spouse who is still under the covers tells you that it's very cold outside when you've already had to take the dog outside and know quite how damn cold it is? 🤣

Please stop using the "quiet part out loud" phrase. It's so overused, which means it can no longer be true. Overuse of the phrase means whatever you're referring to is probably no longer the "quiet part."
