This is good advice. And here's the flip side:

I've worked myself out of jobs. Worked so hard there was nothing left except maybe a thank you and a kick out the door. I've also worked so many jobs where your only reward for hard work and hitting goals was more work and higher goals.

They boosted my morale at work by giving me free doughnut(s cuz once a fat ass, even on moderation, still a fat ass) so I will be taking free day on Monday. A little doodle from Yours truly
