Growing on slightly sloped dark brown soil that's covered in sticks and fir needles, a very tall white and orange-red mushroom stands in front of dark green moss. The very white stipe, which is somewhat roughly textured, stands about 8 inches tall. A small frill of white mushroom flesh hangs from the intersection of the stipe and cap and has yellow edges. The white wart-covered cap is dome-shaped and ranges from orange at the edge to red at the top.

What a nice skirt (or scarf?) this beautiful Amanita muscaria has! 🧣

Around the heart is some echo quilting to reinforce the heart shape. The other quilting is in waves, as if on a beach. The binding is a teal fabric with water texture.

I made my mom a sea glass quilt block for her birthday! She collects sea glass. It was the first time I tried some new techniques including free motion quilting and self binding (way easier to bind smaller projects like this)! I had a lot of fun with this and she loved it! 💙💜
