I have a notebook for ideas but these days I’ve pretty much given up on writing short stories and I’m happy to immerse myself in my current novel. Those story ideas will probably never escape the notebook!

I think it’s ok… although it just took longer than normal to shut down. Maybe it’s plotting against me 🫣

😂 It seems to be ok so far. Just the same but with different colours on the start up screen.

It’s a strangely cosy book, isn’t it? Although I read one of her short stories, White Rabbits, just a few weeks ago, and that was proper horror. Too horror for me!

Yes! I started The Magic Mountain in my 20s and didn’t finish it - I was too busy then to get stuck into a serious book. Interesting how the way we relate to books is affected by what’s happening in our lives at the time. Reading is such a subjective experience. Which is why it’s wonderful!

Really enjoying this. I didn’t like Cold Comfort Farm when I had to read it at school, but I appreciate Stella Gibbons’ writing much more as an adult. I think it kills books if you read them too young #amreading
