I seriously might start carrying a tiny strobe in my pack even when planning on shooting natural light just so I can shoot with longer focal lengths.

I had a strobe with me, set it up near her out of view of the shot and pointed away from her at the lowest output. Every time I shot it would beep when it cycled. She was able to use this beep to be able to tell when to adjust her posing.

OK fellow photographers of BlueSky, did I accidentally discover something genius or has everyone else known to do this forever?

Was shooting with @aliciadawnartmodel.bsky.social yesterday using a really long lens outdoors so she couldn't hear the shutter clicking.

Same. It comes from years of shooting tight so as to not need to crop. I need to remember that in most cases I’ve got the flexibility to do so now that sensors and glass can resolve so well.

2nd time shooting with Kimberly Jay and it was amazing.

Was just joking with a model at a shoot on Tuesday that I amputate more hands and feet than a trauma ward at a hospital as I caught myself doing it and recomposing.

A "blue alert" from the state of Texas for an injury to a cop 250 miles away from where I live.

Texas can't adequately warn people about deadly floods, but it can immediately let me know that a cop got hurt 250 miles away from me.

Not enough true #Christians like her around.

CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%. 

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

I specifically want my tax dollars to pay for the healthcare of those who can’t afford it and would otherwise die. That’s what I want. It’s not a burden. It’s what civilized societies do. If you can’t understand that, you’re the problem.
