Local councils are in desperate need of funding but this isn't the way to go.

Council tax has long been recognised as regressive as it doesn't reflect wealth accumulated over time. It's not right that a that a house in Hartlepool is taxed more than a luxury flat in Battersea.

The stats are heartbreakingβ€”nearly 1 in 3 women experience violence in their lifetime. No community is free from this reality. It’s a global crisis, and it’s getting worse. Survivors need justice. Perpetrators must be held accountable. It’s time to stop looking away.
