My entry for challenge 4 of the Dubois Challenge 2024 which is a reproduction of Dubois' plate 01 (The Georgia Negro). I made the map with python and created the rest in Canva.

A screenshot of my Observable notebook where I recreated the map on Dubois' plate 01 with d3.js (Canvas) by reusing a code example that implemented the map projection Mollweide interrupted.

When I saw in this year's #DuboisChallenge my nemesis from 2024, the double hemispheres map, I needed to try again!

Then, I made a Mercator map with python 😓 and used a frame on Canva 👇🏿This year, I succeeded by implementing the Mollweide Interrupted projection with d3.js 🥳🌎🌍
