Sequans dumps nearly a third of bitcoin holdings to pay down debt as BTC falls to four-month low Nov 4, 2025, 11:55 GMT-52 min read BTCUSD−5.39% Paris-based Sequans Communications (ticker SQNS) said Tuesday it redeemed half of its outstanding convertible debt by selling roughly 970 bitcoin. It was a move Sequans framed as “strategic asset reallocation” aimed at strengthening its balance sheet. The sale trims Sequans’ bitcoin treasury from 3,234 BTC to 2,264 BTC, worth around $232 million at current prices, and lowers its debt-to-net-asset-value ratio from 55% to 39%. The proceeds were used to pay down $94.5 million of convertible debt issued in July when it started its bitcoin accumulation strategy. According to Bitcoin Treasuries, the sale drops Sequans from No. 29 to No. 33 among publicly traded companies holding bitcoin. Despite management’s insistence that its “deep conviction in bitcoin remains unchanged,” the sale makes Sequans the first publicly listed bitcoin treasury company to significantly offload its holdings. Onchain analysts flagged the transfer last week after a wallet linked to Sequans moved nearly 1,000 BTC to a Coinbase address. “Our bitcoin treasury strategy remains unchanged,” CEO Georges Karam said in a statement. “This transaction was a tactical decision aimed at unlocking shareholder value given current market conditions.”

Is there anyone who follows crypto currencies closely who has a good indicator of how much debt was issued in order to buy Bitcoin or other coins? For all the complaints about "fiat" ccy, the collateral for that debt is not very tangible... easy to see cascading liquidations result from a decline.

It wouldn't have taken much work to see Brendan Carr's massive hypocracy in regards to the BEAD program. He constantly complained about delays (ignoring the time for buying USA manufacturer components) and then promptly delayed the entire program at least 1 year or longer. A true 💩 IMO.

Finally a tiny big of correction in $QQQ. Large gap down to start the day that lands in the middle of a prior gap. Will fear prevent people from buying the dip? Seems like at least one of the prior gap ups should fill, ideally both of them.

daily chart of $JNK, the high yield bond index. It made higher highs on a lower RSI and is now rolling over.

Bitcoin is now below its 200 day MA. Well off the peak prices. Previously it dropped below the 200 day MA but recovered. That bounce was not sustained. Looking for further correction.

Watching $SPY and $QQQ remain at all time highs while $JNK and Bitcoin/Eth are rolling over. Weak internals are not showing up in the larger index values because of $NVDA, $AMZN and $PLTR but this is not a healthy rally IMO.

A bit of celebration too soon with $ASTS and gap filling. On the good news side of things, the price just filled some very small earlier gaps that had been created. I do NOT believe the stc agreement is priced into the shares and this is a buying opportunity for me. 🤞my $QQQ puts will print soon.

I enjoy watching $PLTR as a proxy for overall market frothiness. Revenue and earnings really don't matter in terms of valuation once momentum kicks in. No positions at the moment but I'm looking for a better short entry post earnings report.

At a certain point the $QQQ gap up opens are going to stop working. I see 6 gaps up and the recent ones are starting to close. I think we are going to see those earlier gaps from last week close. This week or next. My $QQQ $630 puts for mid Nov are certainly hoping for that.

The Tesla excuse to not include LIDAR in their FSD solution (to save money) will look incredibly stupid when the next generation of sensors from companies like $AEVA are available. Much cheaper and can be integrated behind the windshield even. Safety demands multiple sensor types IMO.

Real reason:

For people who DON’T live in stable countries with stable currencies (USD, EUR, etc.) it offers a reasonable alternative vs holding local currency. Imagine living in Argentina for the last decade and trying to protect savings outside of a house or car. I don’t own it but I can see why others do.

I get that many investors want more risk taking, but levered single stock ETFs are a cancer on the industry, with naming that explicitly misleads everyday investors on the return profile of the product. And now 5x... smh

Even worse, the cost of electricity from those plants will inevitably be INSANELY high after all the cost overruns and project delays (if they actually finish the projects). The idiots are also using tariffs to raise the cost of PV modules that are the lowest cost and fastest source of electricity.

I'm not the most highly skilled technical trader but when I look at this chart of the S&P500 it seems inevitable that the open gap below is going to fill. Even if the market eventually wants to go higher, you gotta fill at least this gap first.

I feel good. I think there is a lot of good stuff happening but we will see.

If markets don’t correct in the next 1-2 weeks they could run higher into year end before correcting in early 2026. My puts are a hedge sized based on my sense of risk.

I honestly don’t know. Massive government deficit spending gooses the economy and they are ending QT but it’s clear that Powell knows there is a huge disconnect between the asset owners and the vast majority of workers. I’m watching frothy names like $OKLO, $BE $PLTR and $TSLA.
