This oneβs okay; its kind of the first horror novel that made me feel like I was reading a Horror Novel, but its a bit inconsistent tonally. The plot is just straightforward with nothing interesting happening. Add it to your list if you really like gore #booksky
Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica
2.79/5βοΈ
This oneβs probably not for me, but I could see how someone might enjoy it. Itβs pretty slow for such a short book. The worldbuilding falls short of the concept. The MC isnt really interesting. But damn the ending really packs a punch lol #booksky
The Ministry of Time by Kaliane Bradley
3.86/5βοΈ
This has a lot of genres happening so I guess the best way to describe my opinion is that I like it as literary fiction but not as a romance or sci-fi. The characters and prose stand out much more than the plot or world building #booksky
Reclaimed by Seth Haddon
4.07/5βοΈ
Almost certainly biased, but this ones my favorite in the series. Every book I read by this author makes me more surprised that hes not more popular in book circles? I absolutely love his writing and romances but I never see anyone talking about him #booksky
The Examined Life by Stephen Grosz
I donβt know what made me decide to pick a completely random book off Libby, but I probably wonβt be doing that again. This is supposedly true accounts but all the people and dreams feel like characters and stories from a novel. Iβm not a huge fan. #booksky
Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green
I donβt know if this was a good or bad time to read this with the state of the world being as it is, because it made me feel my anger over the pure injustice ofβ¦ just everything? Really acutely. It was a good experience, and Iβm glad i read it. #booksky

The Bible Says So by Dan McClellan
I dont really have a system for rating nonfiction; Iβll just add them. I listened to this audio and enjoyed it from the perspective of a deconstructed exChristian whos still interested in religion in an intellectual way. Some folk could benefit from it #booksky
Reborn by Seth Haddon
3.14/5βοΈ
I didnβt like this one as much as the first one but itβs a soulmates romance which is among my least favorite. Even so, this did it pretty well! The writing is really good but the characters werenβt as interesting in this one. I love this author now though #booksky
Sunrise on the Reaping by Suzanne Collins
4.57/5βοΈ
I was worried this was gonna be -just- sad, but it was actually really good all around! I liked it much more than the first prequel. It was also sad but thereβs more to it than just being depressing. Iβd recommend this one to any THG fan. #booksky
Reforged by Seth Haddon
3.93/5βοΈ
This has been on my TBR since it came out and I just spontaneously decided to read it for Prideπ³οΈβπ and this is the definition of a hidden gem to me? I listened to the audiobook and itβs absolute Gold! I canβt believe Iβve never seen anyone talking about it #booksky
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir
4.79/5βοΈ
Quickly added to my list of universal recommendations! The main relationship is so special and the book/writing itself is so funny and engaging; Iβm completely charmed. Itβs so accessible for the type of scifi that it is too! Love it β₯οΈ #booksky
The Gate of the Feral Gods by Matt Dinniman
3.14/5βοΈ
This series is really hammering it in for me that I shouldnβt be reading anything longer than 4 books. The audiobook makes it worth it though; itβs funny and the characters still have my interest so Iβll stick with it. #booksky
The Devils by Joe Abercrombie
4.93/5βοΈ
Everyone read this! I literally debated starting it over immediately after I finished. I just loved it. I think Abercrombie is my favorite writer (though not my favorite author; thatβs a more complicated one). Iβll never stop recommending this #booksky
Heavenly Tyrant by Xiran Jay Zhao
1.14/5βοΈ
Iβm a little nervous to post this one? I havenβt seen many peopleβs review, so I donβt know if this is a common opinion. This is probably the most disappointing book Iβve ever read? And waited for over two years so excited? Iβm sorry, I hated it. #booksky
Paladinβs Faith by T. Kingfisher
3.00/5βοΈ
Honestly, I was so ready to be done with this series. I donβt think it was bad, maybe Iβm just not into romanceβ¦ I wish I was, but none of these books really hit for me. I did like this one the most of the 4 but I wish the characters offered more? #booksky
Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson
4.43/5βοΈ
I may have waited too long to review this one after reading but I definitely knew this was the first in the series to not get a 5 from me. This one felt a lot slower and the ending was so different from the others. I still loved it, of course, butπ€·π»ββοΈ #booksky
Emily Wildeβs Compendium of Lost Tales by Heather Fawcett
4.36/5βοΈ
This was a fine finale for an enjoyable series! I enjoyed it a lot; the characters are charming, the world is fun to explore. Iβd recommend this trilogy to anyone who enjoys a fairytale fantasy #booksky
Edgedancer by Brandon Sanderson
4.21/5βοΈ
I think this one is worth reading, but I donβt think it hurts you to skip it either? This is my first novella, and I did like it! I was surprised how much he managed to shove into this little thing tbh lol mini-Sanderslide #booksky
A Drop of Corruption by Robert Jackson Bennett
4.36/5βοΈ
This was a really great sequel to a really great book! Iβm glad I read it but also filled with an equal amount of regret for reading it as soon as it came out and having to wait for the next one. Fascinating characters and setting #booksky
Emily Wildeβs Map of the Otherlands by Heather Fawcett
4.14/5βοΈ
This was a good sequel! I was worried the romance would be stale or drawn out unnecessarily, but it really fit. I was excited to move on to the next book. #booksky

This one is definitely the weakest link of the series for me. The pacing was weird, it felt like the elevator episode of the series. The characters are really flat and not very interesting to me? I didnβt care for this one #booksky
I think Mitskiβs Class of 2013 hits a little bit harder every year that passes.. thereβs got to be a pain threshold eventually, right?

This one is solid and Iβm glad I continued the series but itβs a bit confusing? The way the game is set up is so convoluted it takes more effort than I like to follow. Iβll read the next one, though! Stick by Carl a little more #booksky
Ten Thousand Stitches by Olivia Atwater

Itβs perfect, everybody read it. Itβs so cute; my giggling was frankly embarrassing. Iβll officially read anything Olivia Atwater writes based simply on how much I loved this book. #booksky

Even though I rated this one lower than the first one, I do think the characters are better? But I can only go through the βangsting without talking about itβ thing once before Iβm tired of it, so I didnβt actually enjoy this one as much. #booksky
