I am strongly against using scary imagery. We want people‘s rational reaction, not their fight/flight responses. Interestingly enough I usually don’t read an injection as scary, even though I am nervous around hospitals, etc.

I should have tried #vAmiga earlier. It is great. I still use #UAE on for #Amiga #emulation on Linux. It takes some learning to make vAmiga do what you want, but it is a pleasant experience. You don't have to google the solutions. Exploring the UI gives enough clues to find your way around.

Ich erinnere vor allem die Periskope aus Pappe. "Fernrohr" klingt für mich nach Vergrößerung. Gab es das? Das Periskop auf dem Bild hatte ich selbst nie. Es scheint aus Kunststoff zu sein.

Westerncomics sind in Yps zwar keine Mangelware, aber zu der Beschreibung kann ich in meinen Heften (es ist keine große Sammlung) nichts passendes finden. Ich vermute, es ist Sinnvoll die #Zack Leser zu fragen. Vielleicht helfen ja ein paar Hashtags: #Zackcomic #Westerncomic #comic

Das steht auf meiner Weihnachtswunschliste. Die Rezensionen, die ich gelesen habe, waren allerdings recht verhalten. Weder von den Comics noch dem Begleittext schienen diese Leser besonders berührt worden zu sein.

Er benutzt einen sehr einfacher Trick um den Leser „im Schwebezustand“ zu halten: überall dort, wo ein normaler Mensch einen Punkt setzt, kommt bei ihm ein Komma und ein „und“. Das hätte ihm sein Lektor vielleicht nicht durchgehen lassen sollen, wenn es so den normalen Leser stört.

Btw. My watch calls this moon Cheschwan. I don‘t think it is a beaver. Apparently the moon phase watchface can‘t be configured to omit names. You have to choose Hebrew, Islamic or Chinese.

I had the same reaction last month (or the month before that) my SO found a funny name for that month in a social media post. After googling it I concluded that somebody must have been bored an found some trivia about how Native American names got picked up. Cultural appropriation maybe.

Maybe these actually are the best icons simply because Profimat didn't consider itself an IDE and Amiga often uses real icons for "command line programs" (Oberon).
