Man, if your phone is doing the AI screening thing, and you need it for work, I have to imagine you could be missing a decent number of legitimate calls.
I don't think it's once got my name right, often using whatever other noun in the sentence is available instead

The β€˜gentle’ yet profitable solution to Melbourne’s housing crisis A popular style of housing offers more homes in parts of Melbourne where people want to live, and it’s already on the rise.

The townhouse is (quietly) probably the number one solution to increasing density and supply of houses in Melbourne without annoying NIMBYs or pushing apartments that aren't commercially viable (in places they aren't wanted). And we already love them.

Man, season two of The Night Manager is a hard watch if you love Le CarrΓ©.
The story may be vaguely interesting but the spycraft is dreadful. Like obvious, no hoops stuff.
So disappointing.

I think it depends on how you define colonial. Also not trying to be pendantic, but just because we became a nation we didn't stop being a colony, in respect to how we end up here/policies etc. And a lot of the coveted inner Melbourne stock is Victorian terrace housing. But yeah, O'Brien has a pov!

Is season 2 of The Pitt just a massive PSA about not riding motorcycles?

If China's emissions had kept growing at previous levels emissions would like, what, maybe a full GIGATONNE higher....the area of avoided emissions here is like deleting the emissions of entire countries. This is happening at a scale that will very clearly have an effect in lessening disasters

Obviously proper orgs are going to be vetting, verifying, etc, we're just in a time when everyone can go through these (or any public info dump) and has tools they think they can trust to do the work... And they're pretty clunky

If you're combing through the Epstein files with an LLM, or are reading people who are, I'd exercise a degree of caution.
Watch this test from tiktok of various models to do something simple like count the spells in the Harry Potter novels & think about the complexity of typo ridden emails (1/2)

How far house prices would fall if the capital gains tax discount changed House prices have risen more than fourfold since the 50 per cent capital gains tax discount was introduced in 1999.

House prices have risen significantly more than inflation since the CGT discount was introduced in 1999... Cutting it won't cause them to fall.
But there could be other benefits.

This is sort of like when the FBI was listening to that Louie Louie song in the 60’s to figure out if it was obscene but here they could ask 900 million people what the words are

Jon Kudelka was not just the creator of the best tea towel in Australian history, and a great cartoonist and artists, but he was a superb friend, incredible husband and dad.

Goddamn I will miss him

Jon Kudelka, much-loved Australian political cartoonist, dies aged 53 Award-winning Tasmanian artist’s work was published by the Australian, the Saturday Paper and the Hobart Mercury

Vale Kudelka. An incredibly generous and warm cartoonist, open to supporting new cartoonists (he DMed in the early days of my twitter tooning to suggest I pitch places) and justifiably savage to those who deserved it, all with a light pen that carried a heavy impact.
What a loss.
Jesus.
