The villain of the season is a CCP politician who is obsessed with territorial expansion and sabotaging proliferation of the cure for the virus. Because obviously China can only ever be obsessed with sabotaging any effort towards humanitarian relief, and only America can stop them

The Last Ship S3 largely takes place in Asia, suffering from typical anti-Chinese political sentiment that is all over American media. It's pretty aggravating to hear Chinese names mispronounced consistently in an inconsistent way and to see them portrayed as natural criminals with "triad" tattoos 🫤

These boots are the height of fashion and no one can tell me otherwise

My latest binge watch show is The Last Ship (2014) and boy howdy does the main virus plot feel all too familiar now 😬 doomsday cults, grifters, petty tyrants, intentional infections, the like. Some of it's kinda cringe (writing is explicitly pro-DOD/USGOV) but just think of it as Star Trek but now 🤷

I love watching Chinese cinema that has Americans or other Western English speakers. It's hilarious and all of those characters speak like bad early anime dubs, and a great reminder that the way Americans can view foreigners isn't all that different than how those foreigners view us 🤣

Work added an unexpected mannequin in a very unexpected place. Definitely didn't scare the shit outta me while going to the admin building at like 0200 hours. I'm sure this thing isn't an unknowable horror waiting for its next victim, right? RIGHT?!?!
