Sweaty, furtive little grubs. It’s an absolute rule of thumb that people who hold such views are always the very last people anyone would ever choose to breed a so called master-race. Pitiful, if they weren’t so repulsive.

Best (most vivid, engaging & life-enhancing) performance of an opera I’ve ever seen was an outdoor Mozart perf squished into a tiny village hall because of rain; cost Β£10. And I’ve been lucky enough (cultural upbringing, £££, musician friends & family) to see v fine opera in many β€˜great’ venues.

When is Jenrick moving into the non-white community he despairs of, to show us how this healthy integration thing is done? Lead the way, honest bob, lead the way!

The post-Obama pushback continues. Inadequate, entitled white boys screaming like toddlers in a playground who were briefly asked to budge up and share nicely, only they have deadly firepower, unlimited dark & not so dark money & a shit ton of racist, bible-toting, women-hating self-pity. Dangerous.

Even if, and it’s a big if, he was proposing himself as an charitable unpaid volunteer, believing he can do some β€˜good’ in a (wider) region where he has done so much damage, this reeks of yet another catastrophic, vainglorious colonialist β€˜white man as saviour’ project. When will he/we ever learn.

A wonderful post, which never needs to say what a loathsome political grub he is, just implied with copious evidence.

It was wonderful you did that. I also remember B Levin’s passionate defence of V ahead of the Channel 4 performance, taking aim at all the spurious anticipatory tabloid β€˜outrage’.

Because there is a very ugly (but I hope minority) streak in (all?) societies that cannot abide β€˜difference’, and seeks to other it, deny it and repel it, and this plays into their hands. Oh good, we can neutralise the β€˜illness/disability’ of autism and get people β€˜normal’ again. Vile eugenics.

November this year will be the 150th anniversary of Ruskin’s first little museum, in Walkley on the edge of Sheffield, welcoming its first visitors. He admired the skills of the city’s toolmakers and wanted to inspire & educate working people with the fruits of his travels and passions.

And the centrepiece of the collection given by John Ruskin to his charity, the Guild of St George, for the benefit of the working people of the city of Sheffield, whose skills he so admired.

Wasn’t there a (v small) point in Peter M’s favour when he was being considered, namely that he’s someone who would be shameless & successful in sucking up to, flattering & connecting with yet another powerful man, in this case the eternally vain King Trump, as he’s done all his professional life.

I would have thought that in diplomatic terms, at the court of King Trump it’s a bit awkward to fire your ambassador for wallowing in the same cesspit as the King. I’m glad he’s gone, but can well imagine DT being sorry to lose an ingratiating smoothie who happily supped from the same dodgy cup.

The brutal and terrible irony, given the filth in the White Hse, is that their shared intimacy with Epstein makes Mandelson the perfect ambassador for the court of King Trump. Their mutual love of Epstein is repulsive, but in this case, two peas in a pod. It should end them both, but…?

At current prices, and scarcity of C20th pics of sufficient quality that are worthy of NG and not already in museum collections, they’ll need all that Β£350m just to buy a decent Picasso/Rothko or two.

You might ask Hot Priest to visit and hide in some of the priest holes in your houses, just on high days and holy days. Then let loose the more libidinous women/men among your visitors to hunt…or at least ask Phoebe Waller Bridge to write your next ad campaign.

Shame left the editorial desks of the right wing press many long years ago. It remains breathtaking to those who care, but the world is swiftly being captured by the shameless, who don’t.

The fact that this slimeball thinks & talks like this is no surprise; what remains depressing is the media’s slavish hunger to serve his filth unchallenged, and what is increasingly frightening is the volume of the (non-SEND aware) British public’s apparent appetite for this poisonous, cruel dreck.
