And that's really the whole movie... An affirmation of humanity and little else. If it was nothing more than a beautiful music video for the NIN score, I would have been content, but they ended out something more and refused to ruin what they did have with too much dialogue and undeserved romance.

Saw Tron Ares yesterday and it was... Pretty good? I think its simplicity saved it. If it was over explained or overwrought... If the leads fell in love... Any of that could have ruined it. Instead, an abused AI sees an empathetic person and sees that life can be better, and chases that dream.

The new Florence and the Machine album is out today and that's my musical initerary on repeat, thank you.

It felt like she just set her diary to music and let it fly.

Obviously, I'm not going to ruin it for anyone, but...

It was a quiet movie until the last 5 min or so. Until then, I was still wondering what the wow factor was going to be. The movie delivered.

It wasn't the most disturbing end I've seen, but it may have been the most fitting, creepy fun.

I appreciate that some movies, you have to go in blind and that social media didn't ruin this one for me.

I didn't dare look anything up in advance to see what I am sitting down for.

I can be weird about horror movies. I like a lot of subgenres, but some stuff I'll only watch in the daytime or with someone.

Given how little I know about Weapons, I intended to do both.

But that's not the way it worked out, so here I go!

Always assuming I can stop solving these logic puzzles. It's like a plinko machine where you get to direct how the balls fall to reach a desired outcome!.

Some day, I'll have the time and energy to do more. For now, my patch is the get the D&D game back on it's feet. That's probably going to take me running the game again... but maybe I can sell the kids on another system or genre for a little while? A good opportunity to look over my collection.

I tried recommneding a logic game that teaches programming concepts. They had five copies in a closet. I have one on indefinite loan now, to play with.

In addition to the constraints of being a very small building, the biggest problem our library has is letting adults know what services and actitives are there for them (not just their kids) Also getting feedback on what people need/would like. My brain was thoroughly picked over by the end.

Watching over the D&D table at the local library means I get the privilege of speaking with a librarian when the kids don't show up. For two hours, yesterday, I was all hers.

I had gotten the tour before a few months ago, but they added a lot in the basement since then, including a 3D printer.

Now I get to play Warlocks and Titans with minimal buildcrafting.. I just spend resources to buy up or unlock abilities that are bundles into the character.

The only caveat there is weapons and artifacts. But that's another thread.

The point is, I'm still enjoying the game and figuring things out.

There are rotating seasonal challenges that make different characters effeective over time. While you can power through with less optimal characters, it's fun to stretch my legs. In D2, I was a Hunter main and didn't bother maintaining anything else because the grind was far beyond what I could do.

But, I'm into the end-game now. Resources to fully develop characters are restricted and time gated. I have to pick who I'm going to Focus on (Nin and Tan 2).

I think I'm going to waste a bit of time and resources to being all my characters up to to the Silver medals so I can play them casually.

This plateau to gain level 20 is a bit more difficult. The immediate transition from one into another doesn't feel good. Makes me dread any future sticking points, but I don't think there are any?

I hit my first plateau in Destiny Rising this month with Acclaim level 15. But even a Filthy Casual like me was able to break through with minimal research to focus my activity. The built up XP immediately put me at level 19 and the next plateau.

It turns out, banishment is a great spell when the possessing spirit can't be fully contained by the medium or the magic circle. Just banish the host and all your problems are solved for 1 whole minute.

Paybacks a bitch though. We ended the session after rolling for initiative.
