Sunset at Ullswater, clam conditions, started off very cloudy but as which is part of the course in winter the cloudy skies started to dissapear and provided some lovely golden light filtered through the clouds

From a recent wander down to Ullswater. End of the day clearing skies provided some lovely light over the Helvellyn range and great reflections. PS I nearly packed up and went home, patience and cold hands sometimes pays off

Yes in Glen Etive, the location for Skyfall

This is a rocky mountainous area so there are very few trees that grow on this terrain. There are a few trees/forests in the areas lower down.

The lochan may be familiar to fans of the Harry Potter films, as it was one of the filming locations for Hagrid's Hut in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

Today's little climb was up on to Creag an Tuirc (The Boars rock) looking down Loch Voll at Balquidder, Scotland. The meeting place of Clan Maclaren and burial place at the church of Rob Roy Macgregor. Bit muddy and the drizzle kept off.
