With all the discussion seemingly about the other 3 parties, wouldn't it have been more sensible to just keep quiet and say nothing?

The ads are just there to give you time to get your tools ready, turn on your torch and get in the right position to see what youve got to do.
Saves you having to rewind the video.
In reality they're a boon!
Not sure I agree with that at all. Ukraine has had an massive amount of support. Should it have been more, yes, but that doesn't mean its been peanuts.
Moving forward, Ukraine will want to integrate (EU, NATO etc.) with the west to secure itself. There'll be a lot of joint works.
The advent of the machine gun and then trench warfare in WW1 gave us something pretty similar.
Russia will have learnt from it, though their primary tactic seems to be just throw more drones and more men into the meat grinder.
And Ukraine will be more than happy to share their knowledge with us.
My mood when we break from snowboarding for a drink, and the hot chocolate is literally melted thick chocolate.

My only connection to Arrested Andrew is via an old neighbour who trained on helicopters at the same time. Said he was entitled and a useless idiot.
Cant fault that.
It's a little weird for a director to think they can add anything to the story, when there have already been 35 odd versions of the film already.

"One big reason why banning under-16s from social media is taking off as a policy idea is that it is more palatable than banning all of us. "
Also, much simpler / quicker to implement than effective controls for the entire internet for all age groups. The Govt needs an easy win.
4-0 to Arsenal already. Wow.
Part of that is due to the difference in quality of players, but it's also down to a lack of knowledge. Premier league teams know how to negate some of our game because theyve seen us a lot. Wigan haven't had that luxury.
Japanese social media influencers. No-one wants an irate cyber-ninja girl with a (hopefully) plastic sword berating them for spoiling their photo shoot.

Away at Brentford and with important players missing or only half fit, it was never going to be easy.
Good news, (assuming Odegaard is OK) we have a week to get the players back and firing properly.
If my advisor gave me a shortlist of Mandelson, Osbourne and Bear Grylls for anything other than maybe as a contestant for The Traitors, my reaction would be to draw up a shortlist for a new advisor.
12.02.2026 13:44 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Probably more than that. Given the level of control Epstein was given over the money, he must have had some kind of persuasion superpower.

12.02.2026 12:08 — 👍 13 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I think there's a point between being 'very well off' and being excessively rich, probably around the point you relocate to Monaco for tax reasons where the reality in your head changes, and normally for the worst.
12.02.2026 11:15 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I'm worried that by implementing a simple ban of u16s, we'll slap ourselves on the back, and then ignore all the other stuff we should be doing around social media.

Just got in from a run. Turned on the TV to watch the football.
Oh look, Spurs have had a player sent off.
Immediately assumed it was Romero.
Some people are affected more by price surges in particular areas, fuel, heating etc. and wage growth varies through different industries / employment postions. And there's probably a built in delay before people start to actually *feel* the improvements. Too messy sometimes for a simple graph.
05.02.2026 09:23 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0A graph doesn't effect people perception in the same way personal experience does, so if they feel inflation is doing *something* yet the graph says *something else*, they'll go with their gut.
05.02.2026 09:05 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0It wasn't much more than 'keep it tight and hope to nick a goal near the end', (a standard tactic used by countless managers when up against a superior team) so weird that it was being talked about so highly. I guess if they'd scored one from a 30yd screamer, they'd be saying he was right. Ho hum.
04.02.2026 12:07 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0There was a point at some point in the 1st half where Neville became briefly aware, when he said something along the lines of 'if it ends 0-0 we'll be congratulating Arsenal on a good display', but then lapsed back into having to praise the new shiny thing in the PL.

03.02.2026 21:58 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Hmm, does that work? Nuclear weapons have been only used twice, (effectively once), 80 years ago and were controlled by a few governments. AI is already embedded in our society and probably isn't understood by governments.

Systems. So keys always go in the same place. Wallet, phone, earbuds etc. all have a place.
Works brilliantly.
Until I dump my keys in with all the dog stuff when I get back from walking her...
