Scientists defend climate law A group of scholars sent a letter to Gov. Kathy Hochul and key lawmakers making the case for not changing the state’s 2019 climate law.

Letter defending the CLCPA greenhouse gas accounting methodology:

"...scientists who backed this provision of the law argue it correctly emphasizes the need to quickly reduce emissions, particularly methane."
