I have a deeper appreciation for the fact that my tax $$ went to SS & programs like Head Start, USAID, PBS, National Parks, food & housing, healthcare, air traffic control, wildlife preservation, etc. All the stuff I care about is too much for me to handle alone just to keep them going.
