It's wild to me how out of touch the average reader of comics and novels is about the increasing censorship online. I have also gotten the same question below and it's just like bro, if I could I WOULD COME ON

Working today but please keep up the calls, please. Stress that you're upset you can't buy certain products with your card because the merchant isn't allowed to take the card. If the company says, "ask your bank" tell them you already did or call your bank and make THEM call.

Today is the day! Make some phone calls to Visa and Mastercard if youre able to and keep it going as much as you can muster until monday!

Please keep putting pressure on PayPal. Stories like this are becoming more and more common. Artists don’t deserve to lose their source of income over payment processors being puritanical/anti-small business.

Agents need these jobs for medical insurance. A lot of them are sympathetic to your concerns. MC global (upper level of corporate, above regional corporate) is hounding bosses to end this and bosses are snapping at workers as a result. Please be kind when you call, they’re getting slammed (2)

Morale at paypros call centers is in the toilet right now. It’s not just normal Black Friday stress, they’re being pounded. Corporate is pressuring bosses to end the paypros call campaigns. Source familiar w/ internals at MC stressed that folks should stand their ground but be kind to agents (1)

Hey, I don't know who needs to hear this but queer comics are worth fighting. I mean it, there is no other storytelling like it and I will fight for them until the end of time. I thought I didn't like reading because that was not me. No, just nobody was telling a story that meant anything.

Both Visa and Mastercard are really going to push the idea that "they dont restrict any legal transactions" when you call

you need to call out how paypros restrictions arent on the transaction, but on the way they are pressuring platforms to drop/censor content that they have decided is verboten

Mastercard is REALLY trying to pass the buck off onto banks (who, granted, ARE part of the problem but its still mostly MC and Visa)

My advice, as a former call center supervisor, is to fish for ways to escalate your call to a supervisor. Upper management HATES when the supe call cue is long. We used to be in perpetual callback hell back where I worked and they constantly devoted extra resources to combating it.

Been a minute since I posted my Mastercard/Visa strats to drag out the call

1. Ramble at the beginning for as long as you can - goal is to clog the line

2. They won't insist on card # if you say you're in public

3. When you get disconnected call back and lodge a complaint about it immediately

Sure! Mastercard, Visa, Stripe + Paypal are further restricting what kinds of perfectly legal adult content you can buy through their processor (they cracked down on itchio and steam over the summer, not to mention Patreon a few years ago). We're tired of them acting like dictators instead of tools.
