AI-generated artwork is officially not eligible for copyright protection after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to review the appeal.
The court ruled that a work must have a human creator in order to qualify for copyright.

Calling AI "slop" has been one of the most effective instances of the public rebranding a product and it pisses them off.

People need to really understand whatβs happening. At this point Hegseth has staffed the command element with officers trying to initiate the apocalypse and invited a Christian fascist to speak at the Pentagon. Theyβre out in the open telling us.

A photo of some spring snowdrops under a very nearly almost blue sky (itβs trying)
By Victorian superstition, bringing a snowdrop into the house will bring ill-fortune, or even death within the year. At best, itβll sour the milk and spoil the eggs. They are quite poisonous, due to the galanthamine they contain, so perhaps the Victorians had the right idea, here.

Keep saying "slop" in reference to AI.
At every opportunity.
The techbros are listening, and this word makes them so sad on the inside that they'll hoist themselves on their own Streisand Effect petard.

Traditional looking digital art of Gen 1 Ghost PokΓ©mon (Gastly, Haunter, Gengar). They have a grainy paper tone βfeelβ with shiny spots to simulate a subtle shiny candy look.
Using a mix of pencil, texture, and marker brushes provided by artist, Olga Ortiz aka olguioo on gumroad.

Today in Chemistry History infographic on Henri Becquerel and the discovery of radioactivity. In late February 1896, Henri Becquerel was experimenting with phosphorescent uranium salt crystals which glow for a time after exposure to sunlight. He placed the crystals on photographic paper, and saw that a black shadow was visible where the crystals were when the paper was developed. He initially thought the crystals were emitting X-rays when exposed to sunlight. However, on leaving the crystals on the paper in a dark cupboard during overcast days, he found shadows were still visible on the developed paper, and that the process was independent of sunlight. Marie Curie coined the term βradiationβ in 1898.
Henri Becquerel discovered radioactivity #OTD in 1896, and later shared the Nobel Prize in Physics with Pierre and Marie Curie for the discovery.

A screenshot of Rachel Dratch from SNL. She's a white woman with short dark hair and blue eyes, and she's making an awkward expression that implies, "Sorry I have to tell you this and ruin your good time. But also I'm kind of not sorry about it." I've added a subtitle that reads, "That's AI."
an updated debbie downer sketch but it's friends showing her funny videos and she has to respond like this to every single one like this:

Pearl handing Steven a bill, saying, "Oh, Steven, here. Purchase yourself and Connie some of that popped corn for the movie." To which Steven responds, "Wow, thanks!"
Then a second panel depicting Steven asking Pearl, "Wait, where did this come from? Did you get a job?" To which Pearl nervously responds, "Oh, uh, yes?"
A couple of transition panels culminating in Sapphire sitting beside a radio holding a lottery ticket, surrounded by perfect scratch cards, cash money, and a trio of gold bars.
