#Libya
The minister of interior proudly says "we deported thousands of #migrants, but I won’t mention the number so we don’t get the evil eye."
Imagine a Minister who claims "transparency" refuses to give real numbers because of the #evil_eye
And we are expected to take this seriously

Yesterday, a patrol boat of the so-called Libyan Coast Guard closely approached the Louise Michel and fired shots into the water at just 200-300 metres away. Shortly after the incident, our crew found an empty rubber boat - the sad evidence of what we assume to be an illegal pull back to #Libya.

Libya: Femicides prompt calls for stricter legislation – DW – 12/01/2025 Three killings of women in Libya have stirred up a national debate over women's safety and accountability. Could it garner enough momentum to change the situation on the ground?

But there is also an interesting angle, explored here below: the violence against #Libyan women, with Khansa being only the latest victim of femicides across the country so far. This impressive rate has accelerated during the civil war. /2 @deutschewelle.dw.com #Libya
