#Libya 🇱🇾 Years of impunity have left women facing threats, political violence and blocked access to justice. According to rights groups, the draft law on violence will stay symbolic unless officials curb militia control and restore justice. buff.ly/tU0eTMx

Yesterday, a patrol boat of the so-called Libyan Coast Guard closely approached the Louise Michel and fired shots into the water at just 200-300 metres away. Shortly after the incident, our crew found an empty rubber boat - the sad evidence of what we assume to be an illegal pull back to #Libya.

Khaled "El Bouti" El Hishri was arrested in Germany in July and finally surrendered to the ICC today.
But there is also an interesting angle, explored here below: the violence against #Libyan women, with Khansa being only the latest victim of femicides across the country so far. This impressive rate has accelerated during the civil war. /2 @deutschewelle.dw.com #Libya
