This puts it well & it’s a point I keep making about why using AI to write is so flattening. Writing is the process of working out & refining what you think. If I write an article, I’m not just generating 1000 plausible words. I’m trying to articulate ideas with precision, & challenging myself.

lol georgia just made it easy as hell for anyone to cancel your voter registration and also they won't alert you, so again -- check your registration consistently leading up to the election.

Lol. I'm not surprised that a French catering company underestimated how much meat the athletes would eat. And that the serving sizes may be smaller than what a lot of people might be used to.
Also what's not been mentioned about the no AC is the buildings have the latest in passive cooling...

It's interesting, because guys like Vance think that people with no kids have "no skin in the game' because they *literally can't imagine caring about anything other than themselves and their family.* Of course I have skin in the game. I live in a fucking society. I'm a human being. That's enough!

The frenchiest thing I've done since living here is get invited to a family's annual grape picking and pressing day. I didn't get to do the foot stomping, they had a 100 year old barrel giant wood pestle, which was still fun.
And yeah, I learned there are going to be a lot of spiders

Marine Le Pen – or the hard left? Macron has left France’s voters with a β€˜scary choice’ | Paul Taylor With the collapse of centrist parties, voters are caught between the National Rally, a left mired in controversy – or abstaining altogether, says Paul Taylor of the European Policy Centre

oh related to this: in Australia, more people work in theatre than in mining (always touted as the industry bringing in the 'jobs' and so must be protected) and also a greater variety of trades, because of the carpenters, electricians etc

my partner and I love this show so much. It takes us an hour to watch each episode because we have to pause it so we can laugh without missing what happens next!

my mum played Hodel when I was three years old, so my earliest memory of music was her singing that song at home.
And then she sung it at my wedding!

So my music theory education is about 20 years old now, but I did play in the orchestra for Fiddler, Twice! And it is really interesting music, perhaps the 'mathematics' underpinning the music in Fiddler is also akin to a lot of traditional Japanese? The time signatures, keys and melodic flourishes

oh yeah I got caught out by those when I was at university! Thinking I'd managed to find some obscure book on my subject.
And since it was such a niche subject, I'd actually edited said wikipedia page, so I basically paid for my own work to be printed and sent to me...

my grandmother whittled away all her money by changing the executor of her will to which ever of her children was her current favourite, like a real life Bleak House, and the sapphires she had everybody fighting over also turned out to be glass.

It's not just crochet sadly, I follow a few crafty things on facebook and it's a lot of fibre crafts. Like, why bother. Sure the image looks kinda cool, for a few seconds... but that's it.

Hahahaha! Actually we did achieve some technical marvels for the time. It was two teens, Didymus didn't ride Ambrosius, instead he was more of a pack animal, and I think she had crutches on her hands so she wasn't on her hands and knees.

in 1999 I did backstage for a youth theatre production of Labyrinth, yes the David Bowie/ Jim Hension one, complete with the same music.
I still wonder to this day how on earth the director got away with it as there's no way we had the rights.
