Yes, but if they have put effort and money to ensure that PS2 port works on PS5, it's less likely they'll double it just to remaster it. Embracer isn't exactly throwing money at it's studios, and Crystal isn't sleeping on money either.

Except the original games are still accessible but remain mostly broken on PC. If someone wants to run retro and tweak with manual patching - then they're welcome to. They still generate purchases. Not a single minute of work is done on them anyway.

I think I remember hearing behind the scenes stuff that Crystal isn't simply too thrilled working with Saber on the remaster project and were very reluctant to even consider Aspyr for the job - so might as well choose a different studio for LAU since they surely have source codes archived.

I mean yeah, AAA Open world games is not exactly what people look for. There's been few UE5 titles that are well done, most generally struggle with bugs or lack of optimizations so players suffer. With indie games gaining popularity and games like Clair Oscur out there - attention shifts greatly.

I mean I don't mean to say that I'm hoping for a flop but honestly what else should we expect from the dumb unification idea? A masterpiece? After 7 year gap?

Not Devs fault. I think any sort of this type of project - whether new game or a remaster - needs careful approach and proper timing. Art cannot be rushed and since games are constantly treated as money printers where they cut costs at every corner with games more complex becomes industry problem.

LAU doesn't have that much significantly cut content that contains valuable story elements that would need re-recording additional VO audio for other languages to begin with. Besides Crystal didn't reportedly like working with Aspyr, so despite all the ass kissing in public, they wouldn't do LAU.

I still want to have that ship but I ain't purchasing the 10th for one ship skin. Can't wait to see <3
