That influences not only the risk of #DILI, but also the pattern.

Elderly patients with polypharmacy are more prone to #DILI, and #DILI is more likely to be cholestatic

Hepatic Encephalopathy and Dementia can coexist.

But encephalopathy is reversible and dementia is not, bare in mind for your transplant assessments!

10% of cirrhotic pts have undiagnosed dementia.
13% of pts with dementia have abnormal FIB4 ->Consider trial of lactulose
