My yarn arrives tomorrow and I should get started after the weekend. Really looking forward to it as a change from my usual knitting.

This looks like an amazing afternoon at Orkney Science Festival. I can't justify flying there for such a short visit, though.

The Pastel City art work was published as posters in SF Monthly. I had it on my bedroom wall back in the day! Couldn't find the issue quickly online but did find their article about Bruce Pennington on his website.

Flyers for Coburg House Open Studios. Text in top leftgives dates 1st, 2nd & 3rd August 2025 then reads "Coburg 20: two decades of Open Studios". The rest of the image contains a still life of two bangles, a brooch, two metal and wood boxes, a ceramic pot and a crochet handbag in front of an abstract painting.
Coburg House Open Studios is 20 years old this year. I've been taking part for 17 of those years. We open on Friday 1st August and you can visit over the rest of the weekend. Hope to see some of you there!

12.07.2025 21:31 β π 29 π 4 π¬ 3 π 0Work is simply not fit for humans, work should be sent to the gym. Work needs to sort out its lifestyle balance and come back when its ready to be healthy for humans again.
12.07.2025 13:05 β π 2 π 2 π¬ 1 π 0My first thought was machine but freehand. I'd use a simple stitch and a fairly heavy thread. You just use a sewing machine the same way that you would use a pen.
I suspect it could be programmed for a computerised sewing machine, but I can't afford one.
I feel this needs to be embroidered.

In the playground, I got called margarine or marmalade. I got folk calling me Maddy and Mandy without checking if I wanted that. It still happens 60+ years on.
