Much like you wouldn’t use a hammer to make cement, you have to know you wouldn’t use a mapping pen to fill in spot-blacks.

if you're one person making a comic by yourself, don't treat yourself like you should function on the same level as comics that have multiple people working on them. your backgrounds can be squiggles and colors.

allow yourself room to be abstract with details and give yourself some grace

Fun fact, I paint rocks by panic screaming until it looks somewhat good.
Fun fact 2, I forget I hate drawing rocks every time I make a drawing with rocks.
