Last night, Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee forced language into the budget bill that would deregulate almost every weapon—not just silencers—regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA).

We apparently can’t afford healthcare but can afford silencers. Early this morning, House Republicans passed their budget bill and snuck in provisions to completely deregulate and cut taxes on silencers—costing American taxpayers $1.5 billion.

First, they arrested a sitting judge. Then they threatened a sitting Governor.

Now, they've taken it a step further by arresting a sitting mayor of Newark, NJ, Ras Baraka, who dared to stand up against their billion-dollar detention deal that's ripping families apart.
