I have used genAI twice, once on DeepSeek, once on Claude. I will continue to track my usage, and I will be avoiding certain tools. If I start using it more often I will be following Siobhan Haimé's thinking and donating to relevant charities as a way to offset negative impacts.

So I choose to learn as much as I can about AI in our sector, while not shutting up about the environmental impact.

As is my right as a librarian 🤣

I'm proud that I was able to step away when I really really needed to and give myself an hour to try to decompress. I'm proud that I still managed to make 5000 words worth of notes even if some of them were 'oh crap I'm about to have a meltdown aren't I'.

Not sure how I survived that but I did 🤣 fellow PTSD/ND/otherwise disabled people, what do you do when you have a 'bad day' happen when you've got a conference?
