Nearly 20% fewer lower socio-economic students studying law as Pocock calls to scrap Morrison-era job ready scheme Experts say the Morrison-era Jobs Ready Graduates scheme has instead had a β€˜devastating impact’ on the very people higher education needs to serve

ScoMo’s Jobs Ready Scheme - which charges more for students studying humanities- has led to less people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds taking up University study.
And in this time of AI we need critical thinkers & good communicators more than ever !

The interior is small, hard to fit coffee cups and drink bottles in the doors / centre piece, back seat legroom is tight and doesn’t get rid of the drive shaft hump. Newer versions apparently have steering wheel warmer. Love the app, remote climate and charging control. Drives nicely, great safety

Well done University of Canterbury!

If you're at a university that's still using X, could you ask them to follow suit?

You can point out how embarrassing it would be to be the last university left at the Nazi Bar and Non-consensual Nudity Emporium! 😬

If the Government's top priority is productivity, slashing the CSIRO budget does not make sense Research and development is one of the major drivers of productivity and the CSIRO has a long track record of making productivity enhancing breakthroughs.

Budgets are about priorities. The idea is to tax things you want less of & subsidise things you want more of

In Australia we spend $14 billion per year on fossil fuel subsidies & we are cutting science jobs at CSIRO…

As i said, budgets are about priorities #climate

We saw it with big tobacco, we saw it with the fossil fuels industry. When their own internal research showed the harm from their product, the defunded the research and attacked independent researchers coming to the very same conclusions.

This is figure 1, which shows distribution of flux tower sites across artificial light intensity in North America and Europe.

The findings of a study in Nature Climate Change show that artificial light at night disrupts the fundamental energetic constraints on ecosystem metabolism, warranting the inclusion of light pollution in global change and carbon–climate feedback assessments. go.nature.com/44cCKWm πŸ§ͺ
