Trump's entire approach is that of a bully. He only picks out opponents he thinks are weaker, and stays well clear of anyone he thinks can punch back. He is, fundamentally, a coward.

For Trump, the Iran Attack Is the Ultimate War of Choice

Sadly, the lesson that many governments will draw is that North Korea avoided Trump's aggression because it had a nuclear weapon and Iran was a victim of Trump's aggression because it didn't have one.

I pity those of you for whom this is your first Middle Eastern blunder. I mean, you don't even get "They hate us for our freedoms."

First, it’s a mistake to say that Trump got America into war on Saturday. What he did was respond to a war that Iran has been waging against the United States since 1979.

It's a joke to him. He's so proud of his power.

I do not believe that the USA or Israel wants a functioning, democratic, Iran. We want a dictator, just one we can control.

The whole 'Epic Fury' op coming on the heels of a year of burning every single accumulated asset in the region built over decades

Just feels like the last gasp of an Empire trying to flip as much of the board before they're forced, even by allies, to back away from the table

They know they've lost

We are war because AIPAC has purchased our government.

It is ESSENTIAL that we purge Congress and EVERY state legislature of each and every AIPAC stooge!

We will never be free of the boot of Netanyahu on our throats until we get rid of AIPAC!

The secret fear of the morally depraved is that virtue is actually common, and that they're the ones who are alone. In Minnesota, all of the ideological cornerstones of MAGA have been proved false at once. Minnesotans, not the armed thugs of ICE and the Border Patrol, are brave. Minnesotans have shown that their community is socially cohesive-because of its diversity and not in spite of it. Minnesotans have found and loved one another in a world atomized by social media, where empty men have tried to fill their lonely soul with lies about their own inherent superiority.
Minnesotans have preserved everything worthwhile about "Western civilization," while armed brutes try to tear it down by force.

Part 3: "The astronomical rise in stories about trans people that I’d collected over the previous year told a different story. This massive, messy dataset was brimming with increasingly vile headlines that only seemed to metastasize with time. ... two years later we know how the story turns out."

Alex Pretti’s mom shared this on what would’ve been her son’s 38th birthday today: β€œmy love for him will never fade. You’ve made a change that cannot be broken.”

We won’t forget Alex, and we will never stop fighting for justice for him and all the other lives taken or harmed by ICE’s actions.

I remember how so many Democrats were afraid to vote against the Iraq War authorization (Paul Wellstone a noted exception). And how it cam back to bite them in the ass after Dubya's grand adventure went pear-shaped.

The costs of this Iran war debacle will likely be more than the cost of extending the ACA health insurance subsidies.

If you asked Americans, which do you want: another war in the Middle East or lower health care costs at home, is the margin 90 to 10? 95 to 5?

Opinion | Telescopes Can Help Rural Students Get Interested in Astronomy Emma Marcucci writes about how providing STEM resources to rural students can help introduce them to sciences like astronomy.

OPINION: "When people live in areas where the night sky is clearer, they tend to express a greater wonder about the universe. Altogether, this means communities with less light pollution have great potential to educate the next generation of scientists," Emma Marcucci writes.
