Cross-posting is a pain in the ass, I genuinely don't get how Reddit works, having to navigate rules of each individual community to post my stuff is too much

I'm fine with people reposting my stuff to platforms I'm not on (like danbooru, e621 or reddit) as long as I'm properly credited because TBH reddit updoots rarely convert to anything for me

I don't think I ever got a person that saw my stuff through those platforms and decided to stick around

I see artists trade their patreon and ko-fi links all the time and it seems sometimes like it's only other artists and a handful of regular followers that pass those round.

It really does help. Previous clients saying on comm ads they had a good experience also helps a lot too.
